You should be aware that HE3 Series devices have UL 464 and UL 1971 codes. They are listed for use with fire protection systems and are warranted for three years from date of purchase. Be a smart shopper.
The HEC3 series is sold with a standard 4″ metal mounting plate with integrated Super-Slide”. Allows the installer to easily test and monitor. The product also features a locking mechanism that secures the product to the holder without showing any screws. The combination of fire alarm and buzzer provides reliable visual and audible alarms and minimizes false alarms.
HEC3 also has a Checkmate feature. Instant voltage verification allows the installer to check the voltage drop and match the blueprint.
Install and separate 2 separate parts for horn in HEC3
The light horn uses a common source (2 wires) and the light horn uses a separate source (4 wires).
Switch position to adjust the appropriate buzzer mode
The HEC3 provides continuous or synchronous timed tones in 2400Hz and mechanical tones, alarms and hisses. All tones are easy for professionals to change in the field using switches. The HE3 series has a minimum operating current and has a minimum flash rate of 1Hz regardless of input voltage.
– Set SWITCH POSITIONS 1 and 2 to the OFF POSITION position to isolate ( ISOLATED) 2 separate input sources for horn and flash (HORN AND STROBE ).
– If you want to use the same power supply for fire alarm siren and lights (HORN AND STROBE ), turn SWITCH POSITIONS 1 and 2 to the ON position.
– Turn SWITCH POSITION 6 ON = HIGH DBA (Intensify sound level to “dB”).
– Set SWITCH POSITION 6 OFF = LOW DBA (Decrease the sound intensity to “dB”).
– Use 4 wires in which 2 wires are used to supply power to the buzzer and 2 wires are used to supply power to the flashing lights (turn switch 1 and 2 to the OFF position on HEC24, HEC3-24, HEC3-12, WHEC24).
NOTE: When using common power for both buzzer and flash light, input and output must be connected to S+; S- correct polarity avoids incorrect connection which can lead to equipment damage.
